How to get married - the goal oriented approach

I met with some friends a couple of days ago, including a Pakistani who happily announced to us that he is getting married in December 2010. Upon hearing these life-changing news, I naturally enquired after the lucky girlfriend. There was none. He is planning to get married in December '10 and he is convinced he will find a girl willing to marry him by then. If he is not successful, he mused, he will ask his parents, who will immediately present him with 10 potential brides (I'm guessing all from good stock) that he can chose from. Apparently, after finishing with your studies, if you want to be taken seriously in Pakistan, you need to get married. That, and growing a mustache I suppose.

Well, that is an interesting way of setting about to get married. First you pick the date and then you find the spouse. It's a goal-oriented approach. One you learn at an MBA. Maybe more people in the West should have the approach. I am nearing an age where lots of people are getting married and those who aren't, are thinking about it - either thinking "I-should-be-getting-married-soon" or "I-am-too-young-for-this,-why-is-everyone-getting-married". Those who are looking to be settling down soon, need to think about my friend's approach. Don't worry about it until you're ready; then set a date. If you see you can't meet someone the conventional way, there's a discreet lady who will only charge $50,000 to find you your soul mate. http://www.janisspindelmatchmaker.com/. Hey, it's not a lot to pay for eternal happiness and your twin flame.

If all else fails, the Internet is always a good tool. Apart from online dating sites (which apparently are doing really well in the credit crunch), buying a domain name and advertising yourself on the net is a sure way to get you some attention. So, if you see a site called www.willyoumarrythisman.com, it might be my friend trying to make his deadline.
